Pioneer Acres works with a fantastic team of skilled volunteers who support our museum and annual demonstrations.
Here are a few of the many benefits of volunteering:

- Work with experienced mechanics and machinery operators to learn about restoring, repairing, operating, and maintaining unique antique equipment.

Current and Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Tour Guides and Demonstration Hosts
Throughout the summer we ask members and volunteers to help us with guiding tours and showcasing our collection to the public. Come out to one of our orientation days to learn more about the collection and how to guide tours at Pioneer Acres
Event Volunteers
If you like people and logistics, or if you only have time for one-off volunteer days, come out to help with our events! We need volunteers to help with event registration, set-up, tear-down, and managing Pioneer Acres displays and concessions.
Grounds and Project Volunteers
There’s always something to do at the Acres! Whether the grass needs to be mowed or buildings need to be painted, our grounds and project volunteers help us keep the museum looking its best!
Machinery Volunteers
Pioneer Acres takes great pride in our collection of running machinery and unique equipment.We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in learning more about how to restore, maintain, and operate our equipment to make sure that our collection is ready for display.
Previous experience with machinery and equipment maintenance is an asset, but not a requirement.
