Situated on 50 acres of land, Pioneer Acres is aimed at preserving Alberta's heritage. We are conveniently located about 45 minutes north-east of Calgary and offer over a dozen buildings filled with unique exhibits and artifacts from our pioneering era.
Closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Museums are part of STEP 3 in the Alberta Path Forward Plan, so the earliest we could re-open would be the end of March 2021. See our COVID-19 statement for more information.
For a preview of what Pioneer Acres has to offer, you should see this Virtual Tour. You can drag the images around for a 360° view and click on hotspots to take you to another place on our grounds. Be forwarned - it will make you want to come out to visit us!
In 2021, Pioneer Acres will try to host a number of smaller Feature Events that can go ahead even if there are still some restrictions in place. Our signature event is our Annual Show in August. For 2021 our feature is Case Tractors and Equipment. You'll need all three days to see everything! There is also information available for the Pioneer Market (the "trade fair").
"Pioneer Acres and its dedicated volunteers actively preserve, display, and demonstrate equipment and artifacts that were used by the pioneers of Western Canada."
Check out our Current Sponsors or have a look at our Sponsor Information page and see if this would be a good way for your organization to get some visibility.
Winter Hours: Closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
